Epilepsy Awareness Training

This training is designed to equip the participant with the knowledge and understanding of epilepsy, the causes, issues and impact that it can have on people lives that are affected by epilepsy. It will also give them the confidence to deal with seizures and epilepsy.

The courses are delivered frequently within Epilepsy West Lothian premises but they can also be delivered in the participant’s workplace or alternative venue.

This particular course lasts a full day usually between 10.00am and 4.00pm

• Observation
• Seizure types
• Video
• First aid for seizures
• Diagnosis and Treatment
• Social & psychological implications

By the end of the course the participant will have:

• Knowledge of seizure types
• How to manage seizures
• Knowledge of best practice for recording and managing seizures and epilepsy
