Community Support Services – Learning disabilities

Epilepsy West Lothian recognise that people with a learning disability have a higher prevalence of epilepsy than the general public. We can support people who have learning or physical disability into services that they often find difficult to access. Support can be given with accessing college, voluntary work, and work placements.

We also provide assistance with Disability Living Applications, general benefit applications.

Within Epilepsy West Lothian building (Bloom House) we can support people with independent living skills, e.g. kitchen skills and safety, independent travel. We also provide rooms for art and craft activities and computer skills.

Referrals can be made to this service through a GP, social worker, Community Worker, Epilepsy Specialist Nurse, family or self referral.
